I'm a fan of the deal, but I couldn't see TB doing it. Value wise, it's fair. The trouble is that I can't see TB moving St. Louis, regardless of price right now. Remember when you guys traded Linden? It would be like that. Yzerman already said St. Louis is staying put.

Fair enough. I'm sceptical about all these Luongo reports, I'm starting to believe that he doesn't have a lot of trade value(not negative value like some Leafs fans believe), but it's a lot lower that Gillis was first asking for and I'm not sure that he'll be willing to lower it by that much since he seems like a pretty stubborn guy.

as long as we keep getting points we will inch closer and closer. we MUST win all or most of our divisional games to end the season. 2 against CAR, 2 against WSH, and 1 against WPG out of the remaining games. need to win all of those and we have a shot.

The finals results weren't there, because of stellar play by Markstrom. However we played great hockey nearly the entire game and keep the play in there end. I am very excited to watch more Jon Cooper hockey. Regardless of this seasons out come, we are looking better and better.

Empty netters in the last two games you mean. He is having a great season I'll give him that but he sure doesn't get the D coverage like Stammer.

That being said, I expect this to be a quiet day for the Lightning as I've said for a while. We're not really sellers, as we don't have anything to sell, and we're certainly not buyers. Result? A quiet deadline day.

Nothing was ever imminent, but I haven't heard anything of that sort this morning. Will continue to monitor this though.

Hate to say it; but TB zone entry on the power-play is terrible. Consistently poor over the year; but last few games its so evident. They really need to work on this; too fancy, get that puck in deep and get in on the forecheck...

On the positive side; good to see them claw their way back into the game in the 3rd. The 2nd period there was a serious lack of urgency, sat back too much and weren't first on puck on several occasions.

Florida's goalie played stellar, 1 point is better than no points. Let's win the next 3 please
